Curriculum Design
Explains the required competencies for RACS surgical training program in relation to cultural competence and cultural safety. Includes self reflection on bias, prejudice and stereotypes and embracing of diversity among patients and colleagues. Specific training around health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Māori is also required amongst a broader understanding of cultural diversity and implications for patients.
