Individual Level Interventions and Reporting Pathways
Based upon a meeting of NSW Health and the specialist medical colleges at the RACP in 2019, the report explores the issues in the sector relating to training, accreditation, supervision and management of the medical workforce. Key takeaways include a need for a process to share concerns about a training site, including escalation procedures and greater information sharing, greater clarity around employers and colleges roles in dealing with unacceptable behaviour of clinicians and a more effective pathway for complaints management, and, improved supervisor standards through a framework for training, a mechanism for managing supervisor performance and improved sharing of supervisor training resources.
