Gender inequity in medicine and medical leadership (Hempenstall et al., 2019)

This letter to the editor of the Medical Journal of Australia responds to the question of whether gender equity is being achieved in medicine. The authors present evidence to the contrary and call for greater action to improve gender equity, including through gender quotas and mentoring programs.
